The Melio app allows you to make digital payments, right from your phone. Open the Melio app, upload your invoice, and make the payment.
iOS users
From the iOS app, you can also send an invoice image or file directly to your Melio app.
You can upload an invoice from 3 places on the iOS app:
- Home screen by tapping +.
- Payment tabs on the home screen: Unpaid, Scheduled, Paid and Pending approval (when relevant).
- Vendors list.
Regardless of where you do it, uploading an invoice is the same. The bill details will be taken from the scanned image and you’ll need to fill in any details that are missing.
NOTE: Allow access to photos.
You need to give the Melio app access to your photos so you can upload an invoice from your gallery. When prompted, tap Allow access.
Scan an invoice from the home screen + button
- Tap the + sign.
- Select Add a bill.
- Allow access to your photos if you haven’t already.
- Select the image icon.
- Select an image of the relevant invoice.
- In Bill details, check that everything is correct and update if needed.
Tip: Review an uploaded invoice
Before you Save or Pay bill, you can review, change or delete the invoice photo by tapping it.
7. Tap Pay to continue making the payment or Save to pay later.
Upload an invoice from a payment tab or Vendors
- Tap any one of the payment tabs on the top of the home screen: Unpaid, Scheduled, Paid or Pending approval or select the relevant vendor.
- Tap + New payment.
- Select Add a bill.
- Allow access to your photos if you haven’t already.
- Select the image icon.
- Select an image of the relevant invoice.
- In Bill details, check that everything is correct and update if needed.
Tip: Review an uploaded invoice
Before you Save or Pay bill, you can review, change or delete the invoice photo by tapping it.
8. Tap Pay to continue making the payment or Save to pay later.
Review an uploaded invoice
Once you upload an invoice, the bill details will appear. You can tap the invoice image to check, change or delete it. Once you save or continue to pay, you won’t be able to edit it.
What does the attached invoice look like?
Tap the invoice’s image to make sure it’s ok.
Want to change the invoice?
1. Tap Change.
2. Tap Update details.
3. Re-scan your invoice or upload from images.
Want to delete the invoice?
1. Tap Delete.
2. Confirm by tapping Continue.
Android users
You can upload an invoice from 2 places on the Android app:
- Payment tabs on the home screen- Unpaid, Scheduled, Paid and Pending approval (when relevant).
