From October 3, 2022, there'll be a $1.50 fee from the 3rd check you send every month. This means the first 2 are free every month, and the fee will only apply for each check after that.
Why do checks cost $1.50?
The fee covers printing, postage and handling. There is also an additional layer of security to sending checks with Melio - your bank details are never on the check, helping protect you from fraud and check forgery.

Payments created before October 3, 2022 won’t be affected.
There’s still no charge for check delivery on the payments you create before this date.

Important: Check fees are only collected once the checks are sent
The fee on a check is only charged when that check is sent to your customer (after payment is deducted). At that stage, it’s not possible to issue a refund.
