Get to know Get Paid

With Melio, you can easily track and manage all your invoices and payment requests in Get Paid, which you can access from the left sidebar in your dashboard.

Get Paid includes four tabs, each reflecting a different stage of your invoices or payment requests: Unsent, Sent, In-progress, and Paid.

This article will cover the basics of each tab in Get Paid:

NOTE: Search, sort, or filter in Get Paid

Within each of the 4 tabs, you can search, sort, or filter your invoices.

 

Unsent

The Unsent tab shows all the invoices you added to Melio that haven’t yet been sent to customers as payment requests. You can add multiple invoices at once to save time.

 

The following actions are available in this tab:

  • Add new invoices
  • Send payment requests
  • Edit an invoice
  • Mark an invoice as paid
  • View the customer details
  • Remove the invoice
  • See invoice details

 

1. Add a new invoice by clicking + New invoice at the top.

2. Send a payment request by clicking the paper plane icon on the right.

4. View the full details of an individual invoice by clicking on a row.

 

NOTE: Actions on individual invoices.

When you click on an individual invoice and view the Invoice details, you can also send a payment request for it by clicking Send payment request at the bottom.

Or, you can click Actions to mark the invoice as paid, edit the invoice, or remove it.

NOTE: Actions on multiple invoices.

Check the boxes on the left to select multiple invoices.

You can send payment requests for more than one invoice at the same time, or click Actions to mark them as paid, or remove them.

Sent

The Sent tab shows all payment requests you’ve sent to your customers that haven’t yet been scheduled or paid.

The following actions are available in this tab:

  • Resend payment requests as reminders
  • Edit a payment request
  • Manually mark requests as paid
  • View customer details
  • Cancel payment requests
  • View payment request details

1. Resend a payment request as a reminder to your customer by clicking the paper plane icon on the right.

2. Edit a request, manually mark a request as paid, view customer details, or cancel a request by clicking the three dots on the right.

NOTE: Marking a request as paid or canceling a request

  • Marking a request as paid will also cancel the payment request. 
  • If you choose to cancel a request, your customer will be automatically notified via email.

 

3. View a payment request’s details by clicking on a row.

 

NOTE: Actions on individual payment requests

When you click on an individual request and view the Request details, you can also resend the request by clicking Resend payment request at the bottom.

Or, you can click Actions to mark the request as paid, edit the request, or cancel it.

NOTE: Actions on multiple payment requests

Check the boxes on the left to select multiple payment requests. You can mark multiple requests as paid or cancel them by clicking Actions.

In-progress

Here you’ll see all payments that have been scheduled or are currently being processed, but not yet completed. 

The In-progress tab also shows your pending, failed, and canceled payments.

 

The following actions are available in this tab:

  • View the status of all your incoming payments
  • Remove canceled or failed payments
  • View the payment details
  • View the customer details

1. To view the status of your incoming payments, look at the Status column.

2. To remove canceled or failed payments, click the three dots on the right. Then click Remove

3. To view the payment details, click on a row.

4. To view the customer’s details, click the three dots on the right, then Customer details.

Paid

The Paid tab shows payment requests that have been successfully completed, including those manually marked as paid.

The following actions are available in this tab:

  • View all of your paid requests
  • Download your incoming payments history
  • Click the export button at the top of the screen

 

1. To download your incoming payment history, click the export icon at the top.

2. Select the desired date range then click Export.

3. You’ll get a CSV file that includes:

  • The date of payment
  • The status of the payment
  • Invoice number 
  • Payment amount
  • Customer name
  • Who initiated the payment: you (by sending a payment request) or your customer (by paying you without receiving a Melio payment request).
