Why was my payment denied?

There are a few reasons you may have been denied by our risk and compliance team.

It likely falls into one of the 3 categories below:

  • Non-business transaction: Melio is only authorized to transfer payments between businesses so we can't process it if either side of the transaction is a personal account.
  • Fraud risk: After performing a thorough background check, we've identified a risk of fraud.
  • Unverified: Your business may not have enough information about it publicly available, restricting our ability to verify its legitimacy.
