Can Melio help with my annual tax report?

Yes! If you're using Melio to make business payments, you can prepare the information you need to submit your 1099 in just a few clicks.

Melio provides a downloadable CSV file of all your payments so you can view, classify, and export your payment history. 

NOTE: Keep in mind- Melio is not required by law to issue 1099-MISC or 1099-K forms.

We recommend hiring a third-party tax filing service if you require assistance with tax filing or preparation.

Here's how to export your payments history: 

1. Sign in to your Melio account. 

2. Go to Settings in the left sidebar, then Company settings.


3. On the right under Tax forms, click Classify and export.



4. Go over all your payments with Melio that year and choose the 1099 Category

5. Click DOWNLOAD .CSV FILE to export a document with all the information you need to file your annual 1099 forms.
