Import bills from your Gmail account

Automatically importing your Gmail invoices to Melio saves you time, effort and reduces manual errors. Once connected, you’ll find your invoices under the Bills or Vendors tab, where you can easily pay them.

Note: Will importing invoices affect my accounting software sync?

You’re able to import invoices while staying synced with your accounting software and there’s no need to disconnect.

In this article, you’ll see how to:

  1. Connect your Gmail from your Bills tab. 
  2. Connect your Gmail from your Settings
  3. Review your bill before paying. 
  4. Disconnect from Settings.

Connect from your Bills tab

You can sync your Gmail and Melio accounts easily from your Bills tab. Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to your Melio account. 
  2. In Pay, go to the Bills tab.
  3. Click Import bills. (above your bills, on the right of the screen).

NOTE: Adding your first bill?

If you don’t have any existing bills in your Bills tab, you’ll see the import button in the middle of the screen.

4. Select Connect accounts

5. Click Connect Gmail.

7. Choose which Gmail account you’d like to connect, and complete your Gmail sign-in.

8. Continue to allow Melio to access your Gmail account. Connecting might take a minute.

9. That's it! Your Gmail is now connected and bills and invoice attachments from the last 30 days will be added to your Bills tab. Any new invoices will be automatically imported.

10. All imported bills need to be reviewed before you can schedule payment.

 

Connect from your Settings

You can sync your Gmail and Melio accounts from Settings. Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to your Melio account. 
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Sync and Import.
  4. Under Gmail, click Connect.

5. Choose which Gmail account you’d like to connect, and complete your Gmail sign-in.

6. Continue to allow Melio to access your Gmail account. Connecting might take a minute.

7. That's it! Your Gmail is now connected and bills and invoice attachments from the last 30 days will be added to your Bills tab. Any new invoices will be automatically imported.

Review your imported bills

You won’t be able to pay imported Gmail bills until you review them. Reviewing bills is simple, here’s how:

  1. In Pay, go to the Bills tab.
  2. Click Review in the bill preview.

3. Review the details and click More actions, followed by Save and pay later,  or Continue to schedule payment straight away.Review.jpg

 

Disconnect from Settings

Don’t want to automatically sync your Gmail bills anymore? No problem, just follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Melio account. 
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Sync and import.
  4. Under Gmail is connected, click Disconnect.
